1st public NEMOSHIP project event in Grenoble
Date: January 29, 2026 – Time: 9:00-13:00 – Format: Hybride
On January 29th, 2026, the European project NEMOSHIP organised its first public event dedicated to the decarbonisation of maritime transport through large battery systems and intelligent control solutions.
Held in a hybrid format, both in Grenoble (Village by CA) and online, the event gathered a wide audience of industrial, academic and institutional stakeholders engaged in the energy transition of the maritime sector.
Leading experts from research centres, industry, shipowners and SMEs – CEA, Corvus Energy, Solstad, Ponant, SDI, Cidetec, Elkon and Siemens – shared their experience and insights on three key topics:
-
Battery safety and design of large marine battery systems
-
Lessons learned from our demonstration vessels
-
Innovative control solutions for hybrid vessels to optimise battery usage, extend lifetime and reduce CO₂ emissions
The event provided an opportunity to showcase the project’s latest developments and to foster discussions with the maritime ecosystem on the technical and operational challenges of hybrid and full-electric vessels.
